Sandown Bay Regatta
Sandown Bay Regatta has been entertaining Sandown’s residents and visitors since 1857.
Organised by Sandown Carnival from 2022, the event was relaunched with entertainment and market stalls lining Sandown Esplanade and traditional beach games and other attractions at Eastern Gardens.
The next Sandown Bay Regatta is on Saturday 9th/Sunday 10th August 2025
Entertainment
We have a wide range of entertainment on offer for all the family, with a stage on Sandown Esplanade and our Beach Arena at Eastern Gardens. Highlights include the Grand Regatta Hat Parade and a spectacular firework finale on Sunday evening!
Beach Games
Something for children and adults to get stuck into. The Regatta includes an egg and spoon race, sack race, beach sprints and a tug-of-war competition.
Regatta Market
With stalls lining the Esplanade, our Regatta Market offers a unique setting for traders and customers alike. From arts and crafts to charities and food, there are all kinds of offerings to be explored.
